Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Beautiful and classic, as you can infer from the name. Aromas of cranberry, cherry, and dried herbs with hints of violet and graphite. Medium bodied, with some drying tannins and bright acidity. Fruit notes are ripe, with slightly tart notes on the palate. Enjoy with roasted lamb, or a hearty beef ragu.
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Santa Margherita's Chianti Classico offers a delicious, consistent benchmark Chianti experience with each vintage, showing the great style of wine they produce in the heart of Italy's Tuscany region. Dark cherry, plum, sweet spices, dried flowers, and leather on the nose and palate. Dry with fine integrated tannins, enjoy this well balanced, refreshing, value-priced Chianti Classico with braised beef or lamb, spaghetti bolognese, Tuscan sausages with fennel, or wood-fired pizza. Decant 30+ minutes and enjoy 2021-2026. Tasted October 2021. 90 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
