Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

@Rosehall_Run 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc. Aged 14 months in French oak before blending. Colour is medium purple with vibrant, fresh aromas of plum, strawberry, cherry and spice box. Leather and old wood, yet creamy elements of ripe blueberry sorbet and cheesecake with blackberry compote. Elements of pomegranate and tobacco complete this complex, but young blend. Medium plus acidity with medium tannins and body. Well balanced. Pair with barbecue fair, grilled burgers and sausages. 89 points. Tasted July 2017
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Dusty and deep, this uber dry PEC blend is made for pairing with braised beef or bison burgers. Rich dark plum, blackberry, anise and leather. Complex, well integrated, balanced with medium acidity and smooth medium tannins. Tasted 2015 in July 2017.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Dark plum and spice galore. Flavours are clean and juicy showcasing notes of black plum, blackberry, anise, and clove. Tannins are young and grippy, acidity is high and finish long with notes of leather and spice. Enjoy with stewed beef ribs. Tasted July 2017 by @sommsosa | bespketastings.ca
The Cabernet Franc and Merlot were aged separately in French oak for 14 months. The final blend (60% Merlot; 40% Cab Franc) was bottled unfined and with very minimal filtration.
