A robust Bordeaux red wine blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes. The tannins are firm so decant 1-2 hours. Aromas of cassis and blackcurrant. Pair with a rare steak.
Food pairings: steak, prime rib, brisket, spring lamb.

On the nose, there are blackcurrant aromas as well as wet cedar, cinnamon, sweet tobacco, violet, and hints of black licorice.
On the palate, there are dark berry and tart black plum flavours, with expresso at the finish. It is medium bodied, has fresh acidity, and has moderate tannins. This wine would pair well with a Roast.

Earthy nose of mushroom, tobacco and cedar. Smooth on the palette with flavours of red fruit, coffee.
If you love big reds and are well familiar with new world wines for the grape names, but are unsure about old world wines, give this one a try!
You could pair with a beef dish, but an interesting paring could be a mushroom-based pasta dish to provide umami flavours together.

From Bordeaux, the Mouton Cadet 2015 shows aromas of dark skin plum, blackcurrant, fern, hay, coffee, pepper and oak. Created in the early 1930s, after three bad harvests, Baron Philippe de Rothschild decided to create a wine with harvested grapes of lesser quality (not good enought for a first growth) and created the Mouton Cadet. The wine gained immediate success, giving the Baron no choice but to continue producing the Mouton Cadet. These days, the grapes mainly come from Entre-Deux-Mers AOC. In the palate, the wine develops notes of ripe plum, blackcurrant, tobacco, bay leaf, pepper, vanilla and oak. Well balanced, full bodied, with a fpleasant finish, the Mouton Cadet 2015 offers a well made wine from an amazing Chateau. Enjoy!!

Firm and structured, overall, a good value. Aromas of black currant, pepper, coffee and oak. Firm, structured tannins on the palate, and a lot of dark fruit and smoke on the palate. Pair with braised meats, stews, or any rich, cool weather fare.

a fairly simple wine. Not much on the nose, woody and leather. Nice fruits but short finish.
