Reviews and Ratings

Jacky Blisson rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Elegant aromas of damson, dark cherry, garrigue and licorice spice. Fresh, full bodied and fleshy on the palate, with pleasing depth of ripe dark fruit and firm, yet ripe tannins that amply frame the finish.
Kelleen rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Sylvain Segard rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Medium ruby. Subdued aromas of dark berries. Medium body with medium grippy tannins, and a medium-short finish of sour cherry and bitter chocolate. Good value wine, best enjoyed with a grilled burger. Score 87. (S.Segard, reviewed March 27, 2017).
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Aromatics are mild and palate is similarly mellow. Dark fruit, spice notes and developing tannins dominate the palate. I do not perceive this wine to be full-bodied and I find it lacking structure, typicity and finish. Tasted March 2016 by @sommsosa bespoketastings.ca
Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted March 17th, 2018. St. Patrick’s Day. Nice ruby red colour, see Natalie’s description. This wine was a wonderful match to grilled strip loin. Easy to drink, red fruit juicy mouthfeel medium tannin. It was our first bottle before drinking Coudoulet de Beaucastel 2015. If this was a rock concert the Louis Bernard would be a great first act band with the Beaucastel as the headliner.
Louis Bernard for the price is good value. Screw top and all.
