Produced by Maison Raymond, Les Hauts de Lagarde 2020 is a mouth-watering, vegan-friendly Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon white wine blend produced from organically-grown wine grapes on clay and limestone soils. Fermented in stainless-steel tanks to preserve fruit freshness, this is a dry, medium-bodied, elegant white Bordeaux with gooseberry, green bean, bright apple, pear and briny mineral flavours on the palate. Pour with a grilled asparagus galette topped with herbed goat cheese. So good now!

Blanc food pairings: oysters Rockefeller, poached salmon in white wine sauce, grilled shrimp.

Reviews and Ratings

L.J. Palmer WSET 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Medium gold dry white wine from Bordeaux made fro 60% Sauvignon Blanc and 40% Sémillon. Fragrant aromas of pear, asparagus and acacia blossoms leap out of the glass. The aromas repeat on the palate; asparagus, pear, acacia blossom. This youthful wine, with racy acidity, paired nicely with a green salad, crudités and poached salmon.
A good wine for Sauvignon Blanc lovers to stretch their palate on!
From Maison Raymond, Les Hauts de Lagarde 2020 is a vegan-friendly white Bordeaux blend of organically-grown Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon grapes sourced from clay and limestone soils near the Atlantic Ocean. Dry, medium-bodied, bright and zesty on the palate with flavours of green bean, apple, pear, grassy notes and a briny mineral finish. A youthful and mouth-watering white Bordeaux to chill and enjoy with a grilled asparagus, artichoke and herbed goat cheese galette! - Community Wine Reviews
