Reviews and Ratings

Colin McKone - Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This Syrah & Grenache blend from the Langdon region of France is ruby in colour with aromas cassis, black cherry, mint and cedar. It is medium bodied, with light tannins and well intergrated acidity and alcohol. The cassis and black cherry follow through on the plate. This will pair well with red meats and is a terrific value wine for the price. (Tasted on March 26, 2017)
Sharon Lécuyer rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Bouquet of barnyard, smoke and leather. Flavours of blackberry. I found this too fruity for a steak. I would pair with BBQed pork or beef.

(Tasted March 27, 2017)
Rob Boots rated this wine as 85/100
Melissa Pulvermacher reviewed this wine as follows:

One of my favourite wines from this portfolio as its quality stresses the value of this wine for $16.95 in LCBO Vintages. The active diurnal range has a huge effect on cooling these grapes in the evening adding tension and depth.
This Syrah and Grenache red wine blend from the Languedoc in the South of France is great value and perfect for grilled meats. Gerard Bertrand (2013) is a hardy red with black cherry, blackberry, leather and black pepper on the nose and palate. Good structure and medium tannins on the wine. Easy on the pocket book as well. - Community Wine Reviews
