From Lebanon's largest, oldest winery at 160-plus years of age, this is a robust Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon red wine blend from the Bekaa Valley. Look for ripe blackberry, dark spices and savoury herb flavours on this BBQ red. Enjoy with barbequed pork ribs.

Food pairings: meat lover's pizza, veal Parmesan, chicken Kiev.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A blend of Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Aromas of blackberry, currant, and dark spices, with hints of smoke and a savoury note. Full bodied, with some grippy tannins and medium acidity on the palate. Fruit flavours are ripe and flavourful, and there is a hint of smoky spice on the finish. Enjoy with cured duck charcuterie or other rich cured meats and firm cheeses.
Château Ksara Réserve Du Couvent 2017 is a full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Syrah red wine blend with ripe dark fruit, earthy, mineral and pepper spice flavours on the palate. Pair with grilled lamb. - Community Wine Reviews
