Produced by the house of Louis Jadot, this more robust and full-bodied Beaujolais than the other Louis Jadot in this release, also has more richness and depth. Aromas of baking spices, tart black cherry and a little smoke. The 2011 Chateau des Jacques Moulin-a-Vent Clos de Rochegres has a small violet lift through the mid-palate. Smooth and medium- to almost full-bodied with polished tannins.

Reviews and Ratings

The Chateau des Jacques 2011 Moulin-a-Vent Clos de Rochegres borders on intense for Beaujolais. Its sister wine Grand Carquelin is much more floral and aromatic. The vines for this wine are planted in soils that have a lot quartzite and at a high elevation. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
