The Frescobaldi name is one of the best known in the Tuscany region, and this wine delivers on the promise. Great concentration and depth of big, black and brooding fruit, tar and smoke. This bruiser is in serious need of cellar time. This full-bodied red wine features aromas of blackberry, black plums, smoky oak and tar. It's fairly smooth, though this will improve with aging. Decant for 1-2 hours when you open it.

Brunello Di Montalcino food pairings: pasta in meat sauce, spicy sausages, grilled meats, game.

A tannic Brunello from Frescobaldi with black tarry fruit. Very powerful and classic Italian red wine. - Community Wine Reviews
