Simonsig celebrates a winemaking legacy of more than four decades, this pioneering landmark in the premier Stellenbosch wine region is one of South Africa’s most prominent wine dynasties, noted worldwide for its devotion to quality and innovation.

Named after the spectacular views of the Simonsberg, this legendary wine estate is endowed with an idyllic location where a cool maritime climate and quintessential terroir effortlessly intertwine to create world class wines.

Boasting a myriad of significant ‘firsts’, Simonsig pioneered the country’s first Méthode Cap Classique, Kaapse Vonkel, and garnered various other prestigious awards. Today Simonsig’s pioneering spirit lives on, visible through and extensive range of distinctive red, white and sparkling wines, crafted under the guidance of renowned cellarmaster Johan Malan. Simonsig’s latest feature is wine’s perfect partner. Its signature restaurant, Cuvée, captivates with a quirky mix of nostalgia and Cape Dutch modernism, served up with genuine hospitality.

Come and visit this unique working wine cellar, enhanced by daily wine tastings, guided cellar tours and a ceremonial sabrage for an authentic wine experience.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
