We are a family owned boutique winery located in Portugal in the Alvarinho DO Region Monção / Melgaço - Alvarinho Poema.
Poema is the result of an enormous respect for nature and all our passion and dedication.
A limited and numbered edition of Poema has been made from the indigenous white grape variety Alvarinho, in a magical place next to the Minho River, where several generations live every moment peacefully.
Poema reflects the art of living, being an Alvarinho without haste that rests for 12 months on fine lees and undergoes several months of bottle ageing. This long ageing time creates a wine full of complexity and elegance. ?It is a refreshing food friendly Alvarinho with complex aromas that develop in the glass and with a good long finish.
In 2009 Poema was included on Sarah Ahmed's - Great 50 Portuguese Wines and can be found at some Michelin Star Restaurants: Aldea (New York - One Michelin Star - chef George Mendes); Fortaleza do Guincho (Cascais - One Michelin Star - chef Vincent Farges); Belcanto (Lisbon - Two Michelin Stars - chef José Avillez); Vila Joya (Algarve - Two Michelin Stars - chef Hans Neuner); etc.
