Paul Ross Wines is the Niagara label of Paul Ross, and the fulfilment of a long held dream.

This quality focused virtual winemaking venture sources fruit from the best suited vineyards within the Niagara Peninsula region. The vineyard property is meticulously managed by Duarte Oliviera, a second generation winegrower from the Niagara Peninsula.

He cultivates the site using yield restricting vineyard management techniques and intense canopy management regimes. The vineyards are owned by John Howard. The wine is made by Sue-Ann Staff and bottled in Prince Edward County in a facility extended to me by friend and industry colleague, Norman Hardie.

Paul Ross Wines produces one aromatic variety, a Limited Edition release of Riesling which is made in a classic Alsatian-inspired style. This outstanding quality Riesling is a model of purity. It has complexity, focus and balance - and a streak of minerality.

My vision is to unlock the great potential of Riesling and elevate the status of both Riesling and the Niagara Peninsula. Michael Kenna's photograph titled: Kurosawa's trees, Study 2, Hokkaido, Japan 2009 provides the unmistakable identity of Paul Ross wines.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
