Okanogan Estate & Vineyards is located in Oroville, Washington, a turn of the century gold mining town, just five miles south of the Canadian Border on U.S. Highway #97 and minutes from British Columbia’s renowned Okanagan Valley wine region. Due to the northern location, the winery is truly unique to the State of Washington and presently the only winery found on the U.S. side of the Okanogan Valley.

All of our grapes are grown locally in Washington State’s Northern Okanogan Valley. The vineyards are located on the valley’s sandy, desert sage benches and on the sunny slopes amongst the orchards of this fruitful valley that sits at the edges of beautiful Lake Osoyoos. The valley's hot, arid, desert like climate provides temperatures combined with the soils of the region to produce quality wines distinctive of the Okanogan Valley.

The narrow valley is bordered by tall, rocky mountains keeping heat in and our northern location warmer year around. Miles of lake water run through the valley floor keeping the temperatures consistently warmer throughout the winter and spring months, and offers cooler evening temperatures in the summer and fall months. This micro-climate provides ideal growing conditions for our premier vineyards.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
