Viña Millamán built a new winemaking facility on the very site of the estate’s original winery. The 100-year old adobe walls were carefully restored in order to retain the architectural Chilean colonial style of the original winery. Millaman’s new facility has a vinification capacity of 1,000,000 liters, and it is designed to produce the highest quality wines. One indication of this is our ability to handle small fruit lots in small 5,000, 10,000 and 20,000 liter stainless steel tanks. The quality of our wines begins with our vineyards, but state-of-the-art technology is also a critical feature of our winemaking process. All of the winery’s stainless steel tanks are equipped with the latest technology, including temperature control and individual agitators. Our winery also has fermentors with automatic temperature control, punch downs, and pump overs to encourage wines with soft tannins, vibrant colors, and expressive aromas. Our underground cellar has a capacity for storing 150 oak barrels and contains specially-designed racks to hold our finest bottles, which may include our oldest wines or those from a particularly noteworthy harvest. This new facility is a source of great pride and motivation for everyone who works at Viña Millaman. It provides proof of our dedication and continuing efforts to bring the quality—from vine to wine—from our vineyards to consumers’ tables around the world.
