Located in Spokane, WA, Lone Canary is dedicated to the production of high-quality, elegant wines that express what is delicious and distinctive about Washington State fruit. Sourcing our fruit from the some of the finest vineyards in the Yakima and Columbia Valleys, we released our first vintage in August of 2003.
In its ownership, Lone Canary brings together three people with a long history in, and enthusiasm for, the Washington wine industry: Mike Scott, former winemaker at Caterina Winery, and Steve and Jeanne Schaub, local vineyardists and great fans of Mike's wines.
WHAT'S WITH THE BIRD?
Our logo (affectionately known as Clooney) is an artistic rendering of Washington's state bird, the American Goldfinch, or Wild Canary. Forging a lone and exciting path using Washington's exemplary fruit, we have chosen to stand apart from the flock through unique artistic expression in our wines.
