Australia's famous [yellow tail] wine brand is made by the Casella family at their state-of-the-art winery based in Yenda, outside Griffith in NSW. The family has made wine for generations, however [yellow tail] was created as recently as 2001. Since then, it has become one of the world's leading and most recognisable wine brands.
More than 500 Australians are employed at Casella Wines to help meet the global demand for [yellow tail] every year. Despite its size, the business remains true to its family heritage. In fact, the tiny original Casella family home is still standing at the heart of the winery.
[yellow tail] is produced with a simple philosophy in mind – to make top quality, affordable wines that can be enjoyed by everyone on any occasion. The fruit is sourced from South Eastern Australia and the impressive winery site can process more than 160,000 tonnes of fruit during the vintage period.
Since its introduction to Canada in 2001, Canada has become the second largest market for [yellow tail] in the world and [yellow tail] has become the number one imported brand in Canada.
[yellow tail]’s position as Australia’s top wine label was reinforced in 2010 when the brand was named the Most Powerful Australian Wine Brand in the World and ranked fourth Most Powerful Wine Brand globally in the annual POWER 100 report.
The Casella family introduced the Lucky Penny wine label in 2011 exclusively to Canada. It is a premium range consisting of one white and red blend, especially crafted using grapes that groove together to provide a unique and satisfying wine experience.
