Benjamin Bridge is an innovative sparkling wine house that has been working with an international team of winemakers to produce Méthode Classique sparkling wines since 2000.
In November 2010, ten years after clearing the land for planting, Benjamin Bridge released its much anticipated, inaugural Méthode Classique sparkling wines in Nova Scotia – a 2004 Brut Reserve (a Pinot Noir and Chardonnay blend) and a 2004 Blanc de Noirs (100% Pinot Noir), to glowing reviews.
Handcrafted in the classic winemaking tradition of prestige cuvées from Champagne, our Méthode Classique sparklings are born of tradition but are distinctly Nova Scotian.
One of only a handful of regions outside of Champagne, our cool climate allows classic Champagne grape varieties - Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier - to ripen perfectly, highlighting Nova Scotia's exceptional terroir.
The winemaking team has also crafted several limited edition whites, reds and icewines including the runaway success NOVA 7, a European-inspired,lightly sparkling, off-dry white wine, which made its debut in July 2008.
Yearly production is approximately 5,000 cases.
