Château Grand Mayne Grand Cru Classé 2009, A.C. Saint-Émilion, Bordeaux, France: Blackberry, tar and toasty oak with a full-bodied weight. Very dark and brooding. This needs cellar time then decant for 2 hours. A towering, well-structured wine that is in every sense muscular and powerful without fleshy ripe fruit. Pair with a rare steak.
