White Wine

Tiki Pinot Gris 2011, Waipara, South Island, New Zealand: Lovely lightness and lift on the nose and palate: white peach and melon with some lime zest on the mid-palate. Mouth-watering and juicy: perfect for many dishes from seafood to salad, or as an aperitif. There's a lovely green apple finish. Highly recommended. Drink: 2012-2014. 295279 13% XD 750 mL  $17.95 Score: 88/100. January 5, 2013 Full Review Add to: Shopping List Cellar

Red Wine

Rabl St-Laurent Saint-Laurent 2009, Kamptal, Niederösterreich, Austria: Sour black cherry that's vibrant and mouth-watering and terrific for food. St-Laurent is actually the grape from which this wine is made, first grown in Alsace and Germany. made its way to Austria from Alsace via Germany. This wine has a little oak on it but really the pure dark red fruit flavours come through. Perfect for any dish with lots of acidity such as tomato sauce. Drink: 2013-2017. 301960 13% D 750 mL  $15.95 Score: 88/100. January 5, 2013 Full Review Add to: Shopping List Cellar
