Zolo Fincas Patagonicas Torrontés 2010, Mendoza, Argentina: Vintages Wine Panel: The aromatic Torrontés is quickly becoming Argentina’s flagship white grape. Look for pretty aromas of pear, peach, apricot and citrus. Dry and very flavourful, this sprightly wine is a fine choice. My note: Trust me, you haven’t lived until you’ve tried Torrontes, the grape. Viña Concha y Toro finds the warmth and lengthy growing season they need to perfectly ripen the grapes for this wine in the Maipo Valley. Dry and medium bodied, the palate is very fresh and seamlessly balanced and poised. Characterful and with great structure.
