Tinhorn Creek Vineyards Oldfield Series Syrah 2009, South Okanagan Valley, BC VQA, Canada: Some mint and blackberry on the nose. Gorgeous velvet texture and full-bodied weight on the palate. Satisfyingly long finish. Pair with: BBQ meats, anything smoky and slow-cooked will work, from beef brisket to smoky sauce-slathered ribs or pork tenderloin, beef braised in wine.
