White Wine

Cooper's Creek Sauvignon Blanc 2013, Marlborough, South Island, New Zealand: A zesty, vibrant and classic New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc from a consistently good producer. Herbal, chive and lime-lemon notes. Medium-bodied and refreshing. The proof is in the glass as to why sauvignon blanc is the flagship white wine for New Zealand. Perfect for your next potluck gathering featuring comfort food like mac n cheese. Pair with: salad, pan-fried sole with lemon sauce, pasta. Drink: 2013-2015. 957407 13.50% XD 750 mL  $18.95 Score: 90/100. January 18, 2014 Best Value White Wine. Scrumptious Seafood Wine Full Review Add to: Shopping List Cellar

Red Wine

Alfredo Roca Pinot Noir 2012, San Rafael Mendoza, Argentina: The vines for this wine grow in the southernmost region of Mendoza, which has the cool climate needed to create balanced, quality pinot noir. Incredible Pinot for the money: you simply will not get a better tasting pinot at this price. Grab a case or five. Lovely fleshy ripe cherries. New World style. There's vanilla smoke, spice and blackberry on the finish. Try it with roast chicken for a juicy combination. Pair with: grilled pork tenderloin, grilled salmon. Drink: 2013-2016. 32979 13.30% XD 750 mL  $14.95 Score: 89/100. January 18, 2014 Best Value Red Wine. Smart Buy Wine Full Review Add to: Shopping List Cellar
