Norman Hardie Cuvee L Chardonnay 2008, V.Q.A., Ontario, Canada: When I received this sample for tasting, I opened it with sadness, secretly wanting to stash it away in my own cellar for 5 years. This spectacular wine is made by the Wine Genius of Prince Edward County, Norm Hardie. Why buy Meursault when you can get that elegance, finesse and gorgeous flavour for a fraction of the price. Norman Hardie Unfiltered Pinot Noir 2008, Prince Edward County, Canada: Grapes are grown for this lovely Pinot in the St. David's Bench and Park Vineyards. This is a more concentrated, deeper and robust Pinot than the County, but I love this one too! Black cherries and a Bach-like dark chord running through the middle. Velvet texture and a long finish. This wine is named after Samuel de Champlain who mapped Nova Scotia during the earliest French and Acadian settlements. The wine is a blend of Seyval Blanc and L'Acadie Blanc.
