Tasting note:

Vintages Wine Panel: Chalk Hill uses the brand name Wits End in North America to avoid confusion with the well-established California winemaker. Opaque purple in colour, this crowd-pleasing red features a black fruit nose, and smoky aromas of chocolate, black licorice and blackberry. Add to that further flavours of raspberry, strawberry, mocha and herbs and you’ve got palate pleasure! Enjoy this ripe and round red tonight. My note: A dependable, delicious red with juicy plums, berries and mocha notes. Smooth and medium- to full-bodied. Great party wine. Food matches: burgers smothered in sharp cheddar.
