Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 7, January 4, December 16 and November 20.

Tasting note:

Incredibly clean and refreshing with aromas of white grapefruit and a minerally flint. Some smokiness lends some richness. Terrific aperitif or companion to many foods. Food matches: sushi, lightly prepared fish, chicken, schnitzel, crumbed dishes.

A classic and impressive statement of Austria's signature grape from Stefan Leopold's family owned estate producing wine since 1673. That's before the Bordeaux First Growths even existed!! Light yellow-green, with a bouquet of fine citrus and green apples, quince. Fresh and very dry and shows typical hints of white pepper. Well integrated acidity.

Serve this wine between 55-60 degrees Farenheit or 12-16 degrees Celsius. Tip: If your bottle is at room temperature, put it in ice water for about 30 minutes or in the fridge for about three hours to chill it.
