A lovely butterscotch and peach note opens up to voluptuously viscous layers of ripe peach and toffee. A smoky, campfire finish is a comforting way to end as you extend your glass out for a top up. Yum!

Chardonnay food pairings: foods that are rich and full of flavour, such as lobster dripping in butter, grilled tuna, or salmon, pasta in a rich cream sauce, roast turkey, or marinated chicken.

Nick Onischuk - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Vintage Ink Wines Rite of Passage Chardonnay 2011 is great value! This wine features beautiful aromas of apple, peach and fresh bread which carry through to the palate. Go get a bottle or two! (91/100) Tasted July 14, 2014
Chris Coughlin - WSET level 3 grad rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Light and easy drinking Chardonnay with Melon, pear, citrus and oak notes. Keep one of these in the fridge for an inpromptu BBQ.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

An atypical Chardonnay. Initial aromas are much like a Cabernet Franc, although this disappeared as it warned slightly. It settles down to a nice aroma of yellow apple, apricot, and honey. Medium acidity, slightly spicy, apricot and honey flavour and finish. A nice wine with roast turkey.
Terry Jeans - Certified S rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This is a medium yellow colour with pear, apple and toasty, buttery oak aromas. The flavors are a repeat of the aromas, with a touch of caramel. The acid is lowish and it is a rather full-bodied chardonnay overall. For this style of chard, it is a nicely priced wine that would go well with some grilled chicken swarmas or buttery lobster on baguette.
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

An elegant Chardonnay with fresh pear and subdued oak opening on the nose, followed by lush tropical fruit, ripe pear and toast. Very well-balanced and harmonious, with long buttery finish.
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Good example of everyday Ontario Chardonnay. Medium(-) body, medium lemon colour, medium+ acidity, dry.
Pronounced aromas of apple, pear, honey, white peach, honeysuckle, smoke, butter.
Mouthfeel is oily and rich with flavour characteristics of apple, peach, apricot, honey, yogurt, butter, smoke and cedar.
Finish is long and creamy.
Suggested pairings: seafood pasta in cream sauce, lobster with butter, cream cheese and lox.
Drink now.
Tasted- July 2014
Rite of Passage Chardonnay is jam packed with notes of lush, tropical fruit, vanilla, and juicy pear. It hits you with fruit flavours and yet it is smooth and well-balanced with a finish that lingers.
