Tasting note:

Love it! My kind of burgundy: earthy, black cherry and violets with a terrific zing of acidity. Medium- to almost full-bodied with a satin smoothness. Bring some to my birthday party please. Food matches: beef tenderloin with a mushroom sauce, robust cheese such as Époisses.

From Santenay, at the southern tip of the Côte de Beaune, this Pinot Noir shows the impressive ripeness-meets-structure that’s characteristic of the warm 2009 Burgundy vintage. Plush and textured medium-bodied wine showing sweet raspberry, cherry, plum, floral and gentle spice notes. Shapely tannins give it nice arc from mid-palate to finish.
