Tasting note:

Vintages Wine Panel: Viña Calina uses grapes from specific single blocks within their estate vineyards to craft their Alcance wines. The fruit for this Cab was grown in a rocky, hillside block in their El Maitén Vineyard in Maule. This deeply colored Cab is packed with aromas of cherry, blackcurrant and ample sweet oak and coffee. The palate is bursting with sweet cassis and red berry preserve flavors leading to a touch of vanilla on the lingering finish. My note: Spicy oak with an underlay of violets, blackberry, black plums and cigar box. This is an attractive wine that will provide lots of drinking pleasure. Food matches: rib roast with coffe and pepper rub, cheddar cheese, Thai coconut shrimp.
