Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
 | Like traditional Absinthe, this is not a Pastis, as it contains no licorice in the blend. Unlike traditional Absinthe, this contains the distillates from the leaves of wormwood, not the roots. Versinthe is already sweetened, so the ritual with the sugar, the water and the slotted spoon is unnecessary. While purists may prefer to drink it straight for its refreshing bitter taste, most will prefer to let the “green fairy” out (the drink turns a milky glowing green colour) by adding 6-10 parts ice water per measure of Versinthe.
