In the early 1960s, it was difficult to buy into Umberto Cesari’s dream of selling quality Romagna wines worldwide. But the dream came true in 1965 with his first releases and by the 1980s, the winery had grown to be one of Romagna’s finest. Source: Gambero Rosso Italian Wines This delicious Sangiovese really impressed our panel with its aromas of smoke, cocoa, red cherry, tar and spices. It’s dry and silky-smooth with the layered aromas replaying on the palate, especially the cocoa and cherry. Tannins firm up giving some muscle to the lengthy finish. Very tasty.
