Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 7, January 4, December 16 and November 20.

Tasting note:

A full-bodied, round red with notes of blueberry, black cherry and spicy caramelized toffee (though this is a dry wine). Robust and long, this wine is well-crafted. Food matches: grilled ribeye, lamb shanks, gruyere or romano cheese.

Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
The 07 vintage continues a tradition of bold and definitive wines that truly demonstrate the depth of the Okanagan terroir. The 2007 Merlot has unique and vibrant flavours that leap to the palate. Blueberry, cherry and cranberry dominate the fruit spectrum. The nose has a spice note of singed toffee that distinguishes this vintage from others. The mouthfeel is clean and precise; tannins are balanced yet assertive. This wine promises many years of faithful cellar development.
