Tasting note:

Vintages Wine Panel: This blend of two classic Rhône varieties, Grenache and Shiraz (aka Syrah), is packed with concentrated fruit flavors. Dry, with a supple texture, it’s bursting with black raspberry, juicy strawberry, peppery spice and vanillin-oak flavors that culminate in a lengthy finish. My note: Torbreck’s owner and winemaker David Powell continues to make what are some of Australia’s greatest wines. A flamboyantly-styled, intense wine with dense notes of blackberries, plums, game meats and cigar. A lengthy finish adds to its enjoyment. Food matches: beef wellington, herb-crusted cheese, Mexican dishes, ostrich.
