Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: May 22, March 7, January 4 and December 16.

Tasting note:

Nicely balanced Chardonnay with fresh green apple and lime zest aromas. Judicious use of oak weaves its lightly smoky way through this voluptuous wine. Food matches: dungeness crab, grilled halibut, oysters, rotisserie chicken, roast turkey.

Only 23% of the 2009 Chardonnay spent 2 months in new French oak and was stirred twice weekly. This allowed part of the Chardonnay to have contact with the lees and develop a silkly mouth feel. The remainder of the Chardonnay was aged in stainless steel tanks to develop fruit characteristics. After 2 months they were blended together before bottling in March 2010.

Serve this wine between 55-60 degrees Farenheit or 12-16 degrees Celsius. Tip: If your bottle is at room temperature, put it in ice water for about 30 minutes or in the fridge for about three hours to chill it.
