Tasting note:

Vintages Wine Panel: Wines from the Cape of Good Hope excel at expressing Old World-style structure and New World fruit. This 60/40 Cab/Merlot blend brings a wonderful complexity and elegance to the table. Ripe dark fruits, cedar notes, and a touch of minerality. Wonderful structure and balance throughout, with the tannins and fruit operating in perfect harmony. My note: This winery has produced a wonderful wine for the price point. The grapes come from 30 to 50 year old vines, yielding a depth of concentration in flavour and intensity. It's aged on its lees, which have a genetic link to the vineyard site and provide richness and continuity. Aromas of cassis and blackberry. Full-bodied and supple. Food matches: grilled steak and mushrooms.
