The Thirteenth Street Winery Gamay Noir 2008
Tasting note:
Vintages Wine Panel: This is a great follow-up to the exceptional 2007 vintage. Complex Gamay with fascinating aroma profile including smoky cherry, plum, bacon bits, beetroot, floral and underbrush. Dry, lithe, round wine that is unabashedly fashioned in a New World-meets-European wine style. A classic choice for roast beef with garlic and gravy. My note: Lovely black pepper and dark plum notes with cassis, blueberries and spices running through the heart of this supple and full-bodied red. Very polished tannins. Food matches: roast beef.
