Vintages Wine Panel: After 300 years of continual Port production, Taylor Fladgate can rightly claim to be masters at their craft. This ready-to-serve aged Tawny is close to perfection. Rich apricot and dried-fruit flavors and lengthy, nutty, honeyed finish. Just as with the 10-year-old version, once opened this will last for several weeks. My note: I’m a sucker for tawny ports, with their warm toffee, caramel, almond notes. This one has a silky, seductive texture and a long, comforting finish. Food matches: chicken with dates, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, chocolate truffles, almond based desserts.
