This Viognier is lighter than most I've tried in the past. Settled deep in the wine are hints of honey, nuts, and ripe pear, but a more crisp, lemony aroma pervades the nose and the palate. Orange blossoms add to the creamy finish.
Tahbilk has been growing viognier for a decade, and remains content to make it as a varietal wine (none diverted to shiraz) that has above-average weight and varietal expression. It’s ready to drink now. Score: 90 Source: James Halliday, winecompanion.com.au
