It's summer in New Zealand and this excellent Sauv Blanc gives you a taste of summer right now. Pretty tropical floral notes on first sniff, then bright passionfruit,citrus, kiwi and fresh green peas open on the palate. Lip-smacking acidity and long citrus finish make you want to stretch out on the chaise lounge. Try it with smoked trout or Chicken Alfredo.

This is one of my favorite Sauvignon Blanc's. It reminds me of young love - fresh and exciting. There aren't too many wines that go really well with salads with a balsamic dressing, but this one does. And not just salad... chicken, fish, stir-fry. The Marlborough region of New Zealand is known for its Sauvignon Blanc and for under $20, this is one of the best.
