Tasting note:

Rich and deep with gorgeous layers of smoky black raspberries, mocha-dark chocolate and black cherries galore. Velvet texture with a pleasingly long finish. Food matches: beef brisket, stews.

On the nose, surprisingly enough, it reminds me of some of the Ontario Shiraz/Syrah.
Subtle, ready to drink. medium body. Food friendly. A combination of sweetness and spiciness. Peppery finish. Very pleasant and definitely well priced - a good-solid $17 Syrah.
Aromas of chives, woodsap, blueberry and plums rise from the glass. The palate is dry, medium bodied, silky and soft with very well integrated tannins and a spicy complexity. Tremendous ripe, dark fruit flavours are beautifully interwoven with the supporting oak. Juicy and flavourful with a long, satisfying and tasty finish. This wine is ideal for winter fare.
