Tasting note:

Vintages Wine Panel: An excellent value, this certified-organic Cab is also one of a growing number of wines that are certified as Fair Trade. Such a certification guarantees that producers and workers are paid a living wage and that grapes are grown using environmentally conscientious practices. This medium-bodied Cab delivers cassis and typical cigar box aromas, ripe fruit flavors and fairly soft tannins. This organic wine contains just 22 mg/L of free sulfur. My note: A lovely mellow wine that’s perfect for casual get-togethers and Friday night flops in front of the TV. Aromas of fleshy dark berries and plums sidle up beside any meal or take-out. There’s also a mouth-filling core of dark spices and mocha notes. A rock solid effort from this producer. Food matches: pasta in a meat sauce, ravioli, steak, brussel sprouts.
