Tasting note:

Vintages Wine Panel: With over ten generations of winemaking behind it, Simonsig is one of South Africa’s most reputable wine producers. Their wines are consistently delicious, as this Cab demonstrates. Aged for 16 months in a combination of French (77%) and American (23%) oak, this attractive Cabernet displays plenty of dark fruit, licorice, sweet herb and vanilla notes. It’s dry and full bodied, with a smooth and supple texture. My note: a solid performance in this bottle with rich, dark aromas of cassis, blackcurrant and smoke. Nicely balanced with a satisfying finish. Food matches: grilled gourmet sausages, pepper steak.
