Tasting note:

Vintages Wine Panel: Very deep ruby colour, almost pitch black. The intensity carries over to the palate, where aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, woodsmoke, smoked meat, mocha/dark chocolate and black licorice are all apparent. Dry, well-structured with lots of fruit, oak, refined tannins and well-handled acidity. Full-bodied with a very long, complex finish. Give this 3-5+ years in a cellar, or enjoy it tonight. My note: Terrific value with rich texture and dark fruit flavors. Notes of espresso, dried figs and anise. Great for long conversations into the wee hours of the night (morning). Food matches: roast beef from a slow cookerand root vegetables.
