This wine is a great example (positive one) of what age does to wine. The 04 Mamre Brook Cab Sauv was beautiful when it was young, and it is so much more after 8 years. It doesn't taste like an average aged Cab. Its sophistication is a bit different. It has port-like sweet complexity. You get a full body wine with wide range of flavors; from truffles through game and all the way to dried sweet black fruit. Just wonderful and for this price?! Definitely a consistent producer that is worth buying from (their Shiraz is as good).
