D.O.V. means “dried on vines,” referring to the grapes used for the wine. This technique adds richness and texture. Pale ruby colored, 2008 D.O.V. Grenache has an alluring nose of warm raspberry, strawberry conserve and baking spices with some underbrush. Rich, full and seductive, it gives a medium level of velvety tannins countered by high acidity and finishing long. Drink it now to 2014. Score: 90 LPB
