Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
Tucked into the hillsides east of Paso Robles, along California’s enchanting Central Coast, lies a dream 40 years in the making. After traveling to several winegrowing regions throughout the United States and France, Robert Hall and Margaret settled in Paso Robles. Their goal -- produce ultra-premium wine in one of the world's most respected wine regions. Here, longtime respected vintner and grower Howie Steinbeck took Hall under his wing as both a friend and a mentor. With Steinbeck's advice, Robert Hall first purchased the land for his Red-Tail Vineyard in 1995.

In July 2001, with nearly 300 acres of wine grapes in production, Robert Hall welcomed esteemed Winemaker Don Brady to the Robert Hall Family. Brady, a graduate of Texas Tech University, has more than 20 years of experience in bringing the fruit to the bottle. His wines not only won multiple awards and helped put Texas viticulture on the map, they were also featured at several White House functions with Presidents Ronald Reagan and George Bush, and served to English royalty including Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles.

After moving to California with his wife Kasi and two children, Brady earned worldwide acclaim as the recipient of the International Wine and Spirits "Wine of America" Award. Don says, as Winemaker, his goal is to capture the essence of the vineyard as well as enhance the quality of wine by getting the best product possible out of each vine.

Today, Robert Hall Winery is the result of an old-fashioned work ethic combined with traditional winemaking techniques and new state-of-the-art equipment. All grapes are hand-harvested in small, select lots. Fruit is handled as little as possible and each barrel is constantly monitored.
