Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: March 7, January 4, December 16 and November 20.

Tasting note:

Lovely lemon drops and apricot jelly with some orange zest running down the middle in a seam of brightening acidity. I love this wine. What a treat it would be after dinner. Food matches: brie or camembert cheeses, dark chocolate or citrus-infused cakes..

Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
The winter of 2008 came early with our first snowfall in November. Colder temperatures arrived in December with a window for picking Icewine on Sunday December 9th beginning at midnight. It was a great opportunity to harvest our vinifera Icewine grapes which are much more tender and delicate as compared with the thicker skinned Vidal grapes. This lot of 100% Reisling was harvested from one of our oldest vineyard blocks planted in 1983 on our 125 acre estate. A total of six tonnes were harvested with 37.6°Brix of sugar in average picking temperatures of -10°C. High Pressure Vertical Basket Presses from Italy were used to maximize the extract from the berries.
The juice pressed from extremely clean fruit underwent temperature-controlled fermentation (less than 15°C), using selected yeast for cold slow fermenting. Fermentation lasted for seven months in stainless steel tanks to highlight the complexity of fruit characteristics native to Riesling.
