Tasting note:

Towering, impressive structure with incredible depth of flavour. Complex and brooding with aromas of blackberry and cassis. Terrific! Food matches: roasted lamb sirloin, summer cassoulet and roasted vegetables.

Our Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were grown in the Quails’ Gate Boucherie Mountain vineyards. 2009 provided a long, hot growing season that is reflected in this ripe stylish Cabernet Sauvignon. Extended skin contact provides excellent structure, balance and complexity. Barrel aged for 18 months in French and American oak barrels, this Cabernet Sauvignon drinks well young and will reward careful cellaring of up to 5 years. Quails' Gate 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon is available only at the Fairmont.
