Tasting note:

A blend of 65% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre and 15% Syrah grapes from 50- year-old vines. This is almost as big as an Amarone. I’m not sure it’ll keep longer than five more years given the fruit seems to be receding to the background. My motto: why wait?

Dark kirsch liqueur, black raspberries, cassis, herbs, and sweet earth. Classic Gigondas, this doesn't have the stuffing for a decade, but can drink for the next couple years. Great purity. 92 points. (ottawawinejournal.com)
