OK ... I admit it ... starting to develop a taste for reds ... and actually go looking for certain things now! I was in the LCBO recently and was looking for a Pinot Noir under $10 (and not to many of them!!) ... anyway, saw this Shiraz from Pelee Island. I looked at the label and it said it went well with Cajun food and a spicy barbecue.

Well I had just picked up some special Jalapeno cheese and thought I would give it a try. WOW ... I got some cherry and vanilla on the nose and it had a very smooth taste with a small hint of "zing" on the front end (which I really enjoy - don't like the real dry experience). And the pairing? Awesome! Pelee Island continues to impress!
