Note: I publish batches of reviews that I call Good Values Wine Picks. These are from the regular section of the liquor store rather than the Vintages section, and tend to be lower priced and the most widely available of all wines. The last four reviews I did were: May 22, March 7, January 4 and December 16.

Tasting note:

A vibrant, robust rosé that has the full-rich flavour of Cabernet but not the tannins. Food matches: fish, white meat, Italian cuisine, salads, Oriental dishes.

Opinions about wine differ greatly as the experience is subjective. You may find it helpful to compare this critical evaluation of the wine with mine as well as your own:
The vines, situated some 50m to 100m above sea level and planted between 1985 and
2000, are grown in decomposed granite, gravelly and Tukulu soils. Grafted onto
nematode-resistant rootstock Richter 99, R110 and 101-114, the Darling vines are
grown under dryland conditions, while the Paarl vines received supplementary
irrigation.
The grapes were harvested by hand at 22º to 23º Balling during mid-February.They were given six to twelve hours’ skin contact in overhead drainers. The fruit was crushed and then cool-fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for a period of three weeks at 16ºC.
